Yoga & Mindful Movement

At Sattva, we are interested in teaching you yoga and mindful movement practices, not "selling" you yoga. So you will notice that each of these offerings is a series of classes intended to serve as a commitment--for you to show up, breathe, learn and integrate what your teacher is offering. Each series has its own teacher, so if you try one series of yoga, and it doesn't stick, feel free to come back to learn from one of our other many experienced, talented instructors. You must register in advance for any series you plan to take--click the "register here" button for the series you're interested in learning, and register through Gymatch. Open up to the changing nature of experience (prakriti) while remaining anchored in the sacredness of that which is stable (purusha). This vinyasa series taught by Dayna Pinkerton will explore the meeting ground of spirit and matter through a meditative flow. We will deconstruct common fluid postural practices (like sun salutes) with variations that promote body/spirit connection and fun!

Join us for our Breath-based yoga series, a 6-week program designed to nurture your mind, body and spirit. Immerse yourself in the art of breathwork, explore mindful asanas that enhance flexibility and strength, and delve into meditative practices that promote inner peace.
Guided by experienced teacher Shelley Herlihy, this series invites you to discover the profound connection between breath, movement, and meditation, fostering a holistic approach to well-being. Suitable for beginners or seasoned yogis.

Sacred Mamas Playspace: Mindful Movement for Moms 

Tuesdays in March & April

$85 for the 4-week series ($25 to drop-in)

You’ve dropped your child off at daycare, the bus, or school, and now it’s time to work, or do chores, or both. Or is it? What if you take an hour instead for yourself to gather with other mamas and play?

 

In this Sacred Mamas Playspace, we will meet at Sattva on Tuesdays in March at 8:30am. We will begin each class with sharing with one another and with breathing. Then we will explore mindful movement together, finding different ways to “play” in our bodies as we explore breath, spinal movements and core awareness. Embodying the child within us that needs to come out and play with our little ones. We will end each class with a long rest, so you can walk away feeling nourished. 

 

All moms welcome. Your child may be 30 days old, or 30 years old, and you’ll never stop being a mom. But you can take an hour to pause, to reflect, and to play with other mamas. 

 

Limited to 8 mamas so we all have space to move and breathe together. All bodies, all levels welcome.
