Yoga & Mindful Movement

At Sattva, we are interested in teaching you yoga and mindful movement practices, not "selling" you yoga. So you will notice that each of these offerings is a series of classes intended to serve as a commitment--for you to show up, breathe, learn and integrate what your teacher is offering. Each series has its own teacher, so if you try one series of yoga, and it doesn't stick, feel free to come back to learn from one of our other many experienced, talented instructors. You must register in advance for any series you plan to take--click the "register here" button for the series you're interested in learning, and register through Gymatch. If you have questions, feel free to email the teacher listed next to the event.

Moving Like a Martial Artist: Train Like a Kickboxer

Mondays in January & February
January 6th through February 24th

11:30am-12:30pm
$150 for the 8-week series, or $23 to drop in*

Have you ever wanted to move the way you see martial artists and yogis move? With grace and ease? Or wanted to try kickboxing in a mindful, safe environment? Our instructor, Jason Gatts, began training in the martial arts 41 years ago (at age 6). By high-school, he was competing in full contact tournaments and boxing/kickboxing matches. After a 4 year tour in the Marine Corps, he opened the first Gatts' Garage Gym to teach martial arts & prepare kickboxers for competition. He's recently changed his focus from training competitors to teaching those interested in "training like a kickboxer" but have no intention of ever stepping into the ring.

Our "Train Like a Kickboxer" course at Sattva is an 8-week program that will take you through learning the fundamentals of kickboxing while preparing your body with the kickboxer's exercise regime.

Be prepared to sweat, but our primary focus will always be on the proper techniques and safety of the participants.
