Intuitive Bodywork & Somatic Healing

Intuitive Bodywork is Megan’s unique approach to healing. Because no two bodies are the same, no two sessions are the same. Depending on your needs, your session will draw from these two primary offerings, often combining them to address your specific movement patterns, pain, or discomfort.

What is Intuitive Bodywork & Somatic Healing?

True healing requires us to listen to the body. Intuitive Bodywork is a highly personalized, integrative approach to healing that blends somatic movement, deep tissue release, and ancient massage techniques to help you feel more grounded, aligned, and at home in your body.

Intuitive Healing at Sattva Includes:

Grounding Somatic Psoas Bodywork

Performed fully clothed on a yoga mat, this modality combines a keen eye for movement, psoas-savvy awareness, and healing touch. Using trigger point therapy, hands-on release, and approachable resting positions, Megan helps you tune into your breath and release deeply held tension from head to toe. It is an active collaboration between you and your practitioner.

Ayurvedic Massage

Performed on the massage table, this ancient Indian healing art incorporates deep tissue release and craniosacral techniques. It is designed to soothe the nervous system, release physical stagnation, and promote deep, restorative relaxation.

Meet your Somatic & Ayurvedic Bodyworker, Megan Grandinetti

Megan is certified in Ayurvedic Massage by the Haritha Ayurveda Academy & Panchakarma Center and is a Psoas-Savvy Practitioner with Core Awareness. She learned Ayurvedic massage in India in 2017 and has been practicing ever since.

For Megan, working with the body in a healing capacity goes hand-in-hand with teaching yoga. She has studied the psoas muscle for many years, in her own body, in her students' bodies, and with her mentor, Liz Koch of Core Awareness. Today, she combines her work on the mat with her work on the massage table, doing exactly what is needed each time to help her clients find relief and awareness.

  • "Megan has sixth sense when it comes to knowing what is wrong and how to fix it. She often tells me what is wrong before I even realize it. I have been going to her for several years now. She is the regular maintenance I need as 50+ year old who still wants to be athletic, and she is the repair technician when things go afoul as they inevitably do at my age. I wouldn't limit Megan to the simple label of 'massage' — she is a movement specialist."

    - Josh Beck, Physical Therapist

  • “Megan is an extraordinary body work practitioner. She preforms her bodywork with professional and tender care. She takes the time to check in each session and easily adjusts her approach with feedback. Megan's profound understanding of body mechanics, both gross and subtle, is impressive. I have been getting regular massages for over 2 years and she works magic with her healing hands."

    - Gabi Szabo-Carney

  • “Body work appointments are always a unique visit for me every time.  I believe the most important aspect of these meetings is how they encourage mindful body movement.  A release of problem areas can occur for me when muscles are gently massaged, along with focus on constructive rest to find where muscle meets bones, bones with joints and how the whole body is connected."

  • "Megan has been my yoga teacher for several years and has given me insightful feedback about how my body is moving and where it is challenged. Her knowledge of human anatomy is very deep and reassuring. That knowledge, in combination with her understanding of body movement and posture makes her very effective with body work. I have experienced several injuries in my life during my time with Megan. She has guided me to practice yoga safely while my injuries were healing."

    - David Bucher

  • "Megan brings a rare combination of intuition, expertise, and presence to her bodywork offerings. Her extensive experience and awareness of her own body's energetic flows are apparent in the way she works. She has a deep understanding of movement, energy, and what it means to listen to the body."

    - Krista Edinger

  • "Megan can provide exercises to be done after bodywork to bring awareness into the appropriate body mechanics explored during the appointment.  The exercises may be incorporated into any daily routine or used as a period of relaxation to reconnect with our physical body.”

  • "What sets Megan apart is the innate ability to meet and see every person as an individual. This creates sessions that feel personal, responsive, and authentic. Her kind and inclusive approach makes it easy to feel welcomed and respected exactly as you are. Megan’s work is both thoughtful and embodied. She creates the kind of space where you can let go, reconnect, and experience your body in a new way. I’m grateful for the care and wisdom she brings to the practice."

  • "Megan's approach is intuitive and flexible to meet my body where it is at when she is working with me. Megan is one of the few people that I trust to work with my body and I have benefited greatly from her expertise."

    - David Bucher
