What is meditation ?
Meditation is the practice of letting your mind become free from holding onto thoughts, allowing them to naturally come and go without chasing after them. Drawing from the philosophy of spiritual teacher Sri HWL Poonja, meditation is not about forcing the mind to be blank, but rather stepping back from the constant rush of thinking so you can rest in your true self. At Sattva, every session is intentionally designed to pull you out of your racing thoughts and guide you inward, utilizing tools like the breath, mantra, simple guidance, or pure silence.
Hosted by Sattva’s very own founder, these monthly meditation classes are available to anyone looking to quiet a busy mind, reduce stress, or deepen your existing spiritual practice. Our meditation classes offer a sanctuary for stillness in the heart of York. Join us to reconnect with yourself and find balance in your daily life in-person once a month.
